My camera is literally an extension of myself. If I wasn’t photographing professionally in Vermont, I would be photographing regardless. Much of my art prints were taken on a new year’s resolution to have my camera with me at all times and to photograph one image a day, here in Vermont and other countries: Switzerland, France, Belgium and Ireland. I successfully completed this resolution and continue not everyday, but almost everyday carrying my camera wherever I go.

Professionally I have chosen to focus my artistry in photographing weddings and in creating portraits in Vermont, NYC, NH, CT and in Cape Cod. I enjoy every aspect of photographing people: capturing each person’s unique beauty and personality, seeing the light, creating the light and pressing the shutter button at the right moment.

I have been in the wedding and portrait business since 1991. Before going on my own, I worked with top portrait, wedding and commercial photographers. Also as a professional lab technician, I printed custom professional images from still life to extreme sports. I learned by printing these images, what a quality image looks like. I have won awards from PPANE (Professional Photographers Association of New England),WPPI (Wedding Portrait Professional International), and the 2009 Bride’s Choice Award (This award recognizes vendors from the WeddingWire Network who demonstrate excellent quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, value of cost and flexibility. This year’s recipients represent the top three percent of WeddingWire’s vendor community, which includes over 100,000 wedding vendors from across the US. )

My pledge to you is to make wedding and portrait images, which will be full of expression and emotion, capturing the essence of you, your wedding day and the special people in your lives. I want my portraits to capture people in their most relaxed state.
